Chlorella
... the freshwater microalga

Chlorella AlgenChlorella is one of the oldest living organisms on Earth. Long time ago this alga – which can split its nucleus after 18-20 hours into new cells, and those also continue to split – turned our vast and desert planet into a flourishing green area. In contrary to the green-blue alga Chlorella obtains a cell wall of cellulose and thus can be counted to the “genuine” plant forms.

Properties
The microscopic size of Chlorella – similar to our blood cells – allows the application of an ultrafine filtration method. The result is an excellent “pure” harvest. The blue-green alga is far bigger than Chlorella and not suitable to be harvested on those optimal conditions. The human body is very skillfull in protecting itself against bad and destructive influence from outside. But therefore it needs to be prepared. A sufficient reserve of nutrients may be achieved by careful food supply. Chlorella, for example, is a good supplier of zinc and iron and several amino acids. But its chief preference is its high content of chlorophyll, the sun reservoir of all plants. Some people even say, that chlorophyll, though being no nutrient, shall have a significant influence on the human organism, since it is serving as supplier of vitamin A, beta-carotene and vitamin B12. The specific composition of the Chlorella alga makes it almost unique in nature .
